Disney’s coming back with yet another incredible movie in its production house. Raya and the Last Dragon is an upcoming American animated movie produced by the Walt Disney animated studios.
The film is expected to release on 12th March 2021. It will be the 59th animated picture from the Disney animated Canon.
The movie will follow the adventure from Southeast Asian themes ,and its set in a realm known as Kumandra, which is known as a reimagined earth-filled by an ancient civilization.

The Premise of Raya and the Last Dragon
A long time ago, and the fantasy world of Kumandra, the dragons and humans, supposed to live together in harmony. Due to the evils, who threaten the land, the dragons become a sacrificial pawn to save humanity.
Now, after 500 years,the evil has again resurfaced, and it’s up to the lone warrior who has to track down the last dragon who has to restore the land and the people divided intoit.
In herjourney, she will learn various things that took more than a single dragon to save the world. To get successful in her adventure, she has to focus on trust and teamwork.

Disney debuted the first trailer for its new animated feature today, presenting people to Raya, a young girl on the hunt for the last dragon to reinstate peace to her divided world. The trailer follows Raya as she creates her way through a cave alongside her armadillo friend, TukTuk.
Using martial arts skills she’s used years practicing, Raya meets a mysterious villain she’s forced to fight in her quest.Raya and the Last Dragon is currently slated to hit theaters in March, but like almost every movie this year, the date could change.
Although more theaters are starting to open in the United States, it’s uncertain when theaters will open to a broader capacity or if they’ll continue open through the winter months.

Release Date for Raya and the Last Dragon
According to the official schedule, the Raya and the Last Dragon is scheduled to release in the United States on 12th March 2021. The movie is directed by Don Hall & Carlos López Estradai, and it co-directed by John Ripa and Paul Briggs.

Animation and Design of the Movie
The movie’s development began on 24th May 2018 in which reported that Disney was developing a movie that has the title of Dragon Empire. In October the same year, it was reported that Osnat Shurers was hired to produce the movie.
Disney also announced during the D23 Expo that they are going to launch a movie. Later the name of the movie was revealed as Raya and the Last Dragon. The casting of the movie was announced on 2nd August 2019.The cast was Awkwafina and Cassie Steelew,and later, it was revealed that Kelly Marie Tran would replace Steele as Raya.
The movie’s development started in 2017 when Disney provided details about Jack and the Beanstalk, which took place in the 15thCentury of Spain. It was about a young hero who befriends an 11-year-old giantess. It then becomes an untitled animation movie that was supposed to release on 12th March 2021. It will be the first movie for the Walt Disney animation studios since 2016 when they released Moana and Zootopia. It is also the first time in the five years that the Disney studio will have to films in 2021, since the year 2016.
